Learning To Love Again

In a heart once hurt, a story unfolds,
A man with a broken heart, love’s grip he withheld.
Scars reminded him of the pain he’d known,
But a flicker of hope told him love could be grown.

With walls up high, he walked alone,
Guarding his heart, embracing being on his own.
But destiny had plans, a chance meeting brought,
A stranger’s glance ignited a longing he subtly sought.

With caution and curiosity, he ventured forth,
Shared moments and talks, feeling a new worth.
In her presence, he found happiness anew,
Love’s spark ignited, as they shared kisses so true.

His scars turned into a song of strength and might,
Love’s language spoke, like stars in the night.
Trust replaced fear, lifting his heavy load,
In the warmth of love, he found his joyful ode.

In six little verses, this story is penned,
Of love found again, on a path that wouldn’t bend.
For he bravely embraced love’s gentle strain,
Learning to love once more, starting a new reign.
